Learn Creative
Coding as a Craft

Creative Coding is a slow and conscious art practice for creating digital artifacts, from custom design tools to visual poetry. I teach you the basics you need to get started. No vibes or shortcuts. trcc is about creativity, foundational skills and critical thinking.

Creative Coding has a long tradition, and in the age of AI it becomes something foundational: It's a creatives journey to demystify technology. trcc is an independent, patron-funded learning platform for Creative Coding, founded by Tim Rodenbröker for designers and media artists who want to make work no tool can make for them. You get 15 modules of structured video courses (21 courses, 288 lessons in total), taught with Processing (Java) and p5.js (JavaScript), open foundations that stay relevant year after year.

Tim Rodenbröker

Hi, I'm Tim.

I'm a Creative Coding educator, critical designer and author based in Barcelona. I love exploring self-imposed limits as drivers of creativity. That's one of the reasons why I almost entirelly work with free and open source software and my own custom tools. Building trcc is the greatest project I can imagine.
